LAST DARK RIDE Update

Right now I've turned my attention to my 3rd short story collection, which I had first begun planning way back in early 2017 (and the first stories written for which were begun as far back as 2015), but which has kind of been stagnating as of recent. I THOUGHT I had completed it about a year ago, in February 2018, but then late last year I ended up cutting one story and replacing it with another. Now I've decided to also remove the second story ("The Muse") as that will be released as a chapbook by EibonVale later on this year and I'd like to have that exist as kind of a unique standalone. Which means I'll need to write something new to replace that one as well (groan). I've also decided that the collection needs another ringer, so I hope to write a novella for the very start of the collection, "La Ville empoisonnée," which will be set in late 19th-century Paris and kind of be a homage to the Decadent/Symbolist writers of that era I enjoy... I actually conceived of that idea way back in late 2016 but haven't gotten the courage to write it yet... I'll probably try to get to that this summer.

So, the new contents will probably be:

1. La Ville empoisonnée (to be written)
2. Home Invasion (complete)
3. Black Noise (complete)
4. Columbarium Horribilis Domibus (to be written)
5. The Lovers Reversed (complete)
6. XYschaton (complete)
7. Epistles From the Sunken Track (complete)
8. Stigmata Martyr (mostly complete)
9. The Madonna of the Cobwebs (complete)
10. Snapper's Salvation (complete)
11. Cannons (mostly complete)
12. Chaoskampf (complete)
BONUS: The Lemming Syndrome (complete)

I estimate the total page amount to be a little over 250 pages.

The original working title for the collection was A WOUND WITH NINE OPENINGS & OTHER MINIKIN ABYSMS, but that sounded a bit pretentious to me so last year I changed it to LAST DARK RIDE. More recently (as in last month) I added a subtitle: LAST DARK RIDE: TALES OF THE GROTESQUE AND THE ABSURD

Hopefully I can have it done by the end of summer this year so I can begin the tedious process of shopping it around. I do have a few other uncollected (non-horror) short stories done at the moment, which will be saved for a hypothetical future (non-horror orientated) collection.
