HARLEM SMOKE now out

So today's the official release date for my novel HARLEM SMOKE. As you can imagine it may be purchased through most of the usual channels (Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and what have you). Soon you should be able to purchase it off the Snuggly site itself, which will be the way to go if you want to get a hardcover copy.

I'm aware that $24 seems like a lot to pay for a trade paperback, but in all fairness at nearly 400 pages it's not exactly a short novel! Anyway, if you're interested in (or are looking for a gift for someone who might be interested in) Lovecraftian horror, Thomas Harris-esque police procedurals, Providence antiquarian architecture, or are just looking for a book that features scenes depicting attractive homosexuals having long and pretentious coffee house conversations touching on Nietzsche, Gnosticism, Pessimism, and the occult connection between Ray Brassier's Transcendental Nihilism and Kim Kardashian's Alpha-Narcissism, well, then this might be the kind of book that captures your fancy.

I know there are some writers who pay close attention to the people reading their books and afterwards contact the reader to try to persuade them to post reviews on Goodreads or Amazon or wherever. I don't want to be that guy so I'll just say here that if you like it and feel the urge to post a review somewhere, great, you have my sincere thanks (really, positive or negative reviews, I don't care, so long as it's being reviewed period and that people are talking about it!).

I'll post a reminder on the day itself, but this coming weekend Dennis Cooper's blog will be hosting a day devoted to the book, which might be of interest to some.
